Boudoir Preparation Guide
Confidence, Comfort & Timeless Beauty
Your boudoir session is about celebrating yourself, your confidence, and your story. With a little preparation, we can ensure your experience is effortless, enjoyable, and empowering, while creating timeless, fine art images you’ll treasure forever.

Wardrobe & Styling
- Lingerie & outfits: Bring 2–4 sets that make you feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful. Mix textures (lace, silk, satin) and colors that flatter your skin tone.
- Layers & accessories: Robes, jewelry, heels can add dimension and variety to your images.
- Comfort first: Choose outfits you can move in naturally. Avoid anything too tight or restrictive that might cause discomfort.
- Personal touches: Consider items that reflect your personality, such as a favorite piece of jewelry, a meaningful accessory, or a sentimental item.

Hair & Makeup

- Professional or at-home: Hair and makeup that enhance your natural beauty photograph best. You can hire a professional or do it yourself—just keep it polished and camera-ready.
- Clean skin: Avoid heavy lotions or shiny oils right before the session to keep skin looking smooth in photos.
- Optional touch-ups: Bring lipstick or powder for quick adjustments during the shoot.

Selfcare Before Your Session

- Rest & hydrate: Get a good night’s sleep and drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your session.
- Shaving & grooming: Do this at least 24 hours before to avoid irritation.
- Manicure/pedicure: Optional, but hands and nails show up in close-ups.
- Relaxation: Take some time to breathe, stretch, or meditate to help you feel grounded and confident.
What To Bring
- Outfits and accessories (see wardrobe tips above)
- Heels, socks, or cozy layers for variety
- Personal items that add meaning or story to your images
- Water and light snacks if needed

What Not To Bring

To ensure your session is safe, comfortable, and visually cohesive, please avoid bringing items that could distract, appear unsafe, or feel out of place in your images. This includes:
- Sports jerseys or clothing with large logos or team branding
- Toy guns, weapons, or anything that could be unsafe
- Sex toys or offensive props that don’t align with a timeless, fine art aesthetic
- Our goal is to create beautiful, meaningful, and timeless images that you’ll treasure for years. If you’re unsure about a specific prop or item, feel free to check with me before your session.
